Rocket Money without linking a bank
By Karla CastroUpdated October 30, 2026
Rocket Money can be used only partly without a bank link. Its help center says it does not have an option to add a bank account manually, so transactions appear when you link an account through Plaid. You can still add bills by hand. If you want charges read from a statement, Expenvo is the other route.
What Rocket Money allows without a link
Checked 29 October 2026. Rocket Money's help article says that if your main bank is not linked you can link other accounts, such as credit cards and PayPal. You can add bills and subscriptions by hand from the Recurring tab. You can use subscription cancellation and bill negotiation. You can add an account and its balance by hand in Net Worth. Transactions will not appear automatically.

Read the statement instead
Download the statement PDF from online banking. Steps for named banks are on how to download a statement. Open that PDF in Expenvo. Expenvo does not ask for a bank login, and the PDF stays on your device. Subscriptions are listed. Expenvo does not tell you to cancel them.
One statement a day can be read with no account. That view lists every bank fee and every subscription. A free account keeps one statement a month and the 3 largest fees and the 3 largest subscriptions. Pro is $5.99 USD/mo. Yearly pricing, and the price for your country, are on Pricing.
Nothing updates on its own. You see new charges when you read the next statement. Rocket Money's cancellation and bill negotiation are things Expenvo does not offer. The side by side page is Expenvo vs Rocket Money. Other ways to track spending without a login are on money apps that do not link your bank.
Find every fee and subscription on your statement. Upload a PDF on the upload page. No bank login. The PDF stays on your device.
