Scotiabank's bank account fees page prints paper statements at no charge on Basic, savings programs, and student plans, and C$2.25 a month on Basic Plus, Preferred, Ultimate, and some savings accounts. Closing within 90 days of opening is C$20.00.
Paper statement
Opened 2 November 2026. Paperless is no charge on the personal deposit accounts in that table. Paper statement is no charge on Basic Banking, Getting There Savings, Student Banking Advantage, Preferred Package for Students and Youth, Momentum PLUS Savings, and the Scotia U.S. Dollar Daily Interest account. It is C$2.25 a month on Basic Plus, Preferred Package, Ultimate Package, Money Master Savings, and the High Interest Savings Account. Paper with a cheque image is C$2.50 a month on Basic Plus, Preferred, and Ultimate, and on the U.S. dollar savings account.
A paper statement mailed to a branch for pickup is C$5.00. A copy of an account statement is C$5.00. Those are extra record keeping lines, not the monthly paper column.
Closing the account
Under account closing fees, the page prints C$20.00 when the account is closed within 90 days of opening. It does not print a dollar for closing after 90 days. Do not treat the missing later price as C$0.
