Wells Fargo stop payment is $30

By Karla CastroUpdated November 1, 2026

Wells Fargo's consumer account fee schedule, effective July 28, 2026, prints $30 per item for a stop payment on a paper or ACH item, except Prime Checking and Premier Checking, which are no fee.

Paper or ACH

Opened 1 November 2026. Under stop payments, Prime Checking and Premier Checking are no fee. All other accounts are $30 per item for a paper or ACH item. A separate line, stop payment for a lost, stolen, or destroyed cashier's check, is no fee. That cashier's check stop is not the $30 paper or ACH stop.

The $30 fee can post on its own. The schedule says a cashier's check stop and reissuance is done in a branch, and that a cashier's check over $1,000 can have a waiting period. That waiting period is not the $30 fee.

Accounts with no fee

If the statement says Prime Checking or Premier Checking, the schedule prints no fee for the paper or ACH stop. Other consumer accounts print $30 per item. The schedule does not print a lower online price for those other accounts.

Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank, and it does not stop the payment.
