Bank of America cashier's check is $15

Bank of America's financial center FAQ prints $15 for a cashier's check if you have a Bank of America checking or savings account. Preferred Rewards customers have that fee waived. The personal schedule, effective August 7, 2026, says a cashier's check is available for a fee and does not print the dollar itself.
Where the $15 is printed

The FAQ says a customer with a checking or savings account can get a cashier's check for a $15 fee, waived for customers enrolled in Preferred Rewards, and tells you to read the Personal Schedule of Fees for the complete details. Someone without a Bank of America checking or savings account cannot get a cashier's check there. The personal schedule opened the same day says cashier's checks are available for a fee in a financial center. It does not print $15 on that line.
The FAQ does not print a money order dollar. The personal schedule opened the same day does not print one either. This guide does not invent a money order price. The $15 fee, when it is charged, can show as its own line next to the check amount.
What the bank offers instead
The same FAQ lists Zelle, Online Bill Pay, and a money transfer as ways to pay without a cashier's check. It does not print a dollar for those three. A Preferred Rewards waiver is not a waiver of a fee the schedule never printed. If the teller quotes a number other than $15, ask them to show the current line.
