Bank of America stop payment is $30

By Karla CastroUpdated November 1, 2026

Bank of America's personal schedule of fees, effective August 7, 2026, prints a stop payment fee of $30.00 each request. The same block waives that fee for named Advantage checking accounts and for Preferred Plus, Preferred Honors, and Premier clients.

The $30 request

Opened 1 November 2026. The stop payment fee is $30.00 each request. The schedule waives it for Bank of America Advantage Relationship Banking, Advantage with Tiered Interest Checking, and Advantage Regular Checking, and for account owners enrolled in BofA Rewards who qualify for Preferred Plus, Preferred Honors, or Premier. There is no charge to place a stop payment on a debit card or Bill Pay transaction.

The $30 fee can show as its own line. A debit card stop and a Bill Pay stop are the lines the schedule says have no charge. A waiver of the $30 fee is not a promise that the payment was stopped.

When the schedule prints no charge

Match the account name on the statement to the Advantage accounts named above, or to Preferred Plus, Preferred Honors, or Premier, before you treat the fee as waived. If the account is not one of those, the printed price is $30.00 each request. The schedule does not print a cheaper online dollar for the $30 stop.

Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank, and it does not stop the payment.
