PNC non-PNC ATM fee is $3

PNC's consumer schedule, effective May 31, 2026, prints no charge at a PNC Bank ATM. At a non-PNC ATM in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, other accounts pay $3.00 each. Performance Select Checking pays no charge. Farther away, the fee is $5.00.
The $3.00 and the $5.00
Opened 31 October 2026. The schedule says the fee is per withdrawal, deposit, transfer, or balance inquiry, and that not all ATMs accept deposits. At PNC Bank ATMs the fee is no charge. At non-PNC Bank ATMs in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Performance Select Checking is no charge and all other accounts are $3.00 each. At non-PNC Bank ATMs in all other countries, Performance Select Checking is no charge and all other accounts are $5.00 each. Footnote 7 says other institutions or ATM operators may also charge for using their ATMs.
Performance Checking reimburses the first two domestic or international non-PNC ATM fees in the statement period. The reimbursement posts at the end of the statement period. Fees beyond two are not reimbursed. All other accounts are not reimbursed. Performance Select also reimburses the other institution's surcharge, up to $10.00, at the end of the statement period. Performance Checking reimburses that surcharge up to $5.00.
How to avoid the $3.00
Use a PNC Bank ATM. That line is no charge. If the account is not Performance Select, a non-PNC machine in the U.S. is $3.00 each, plus any surcharge the other ATM shows. Accepting the cash on that screen is what adds the owner's fee.
