RBC outgoing wire starts at C$45
By Karla CastroUpdated November 1, 2026
RBC's additional account services page prints an outgoing wire fee starting at C$45.00 CAD on a Canadian dollar account, or $45.00 USD on a U.S. dollar account. The page says starting at, and to ask for details. It is not one flat price for every wire.
Starting at, not a single price
Opened 1 November 2026. On a Canadian dollar account the outgoing wire fee starts at C$45.00 CAD. On a U.S. dollar account it starts at $45.00 USD. Euro, British pound, and Hong Kong dollar savings accounts have their own starting amounts on the same table. If a country uses an IBAN and you do not provide one, the fee starts at C$35.00 CAD or $35.00 USD. That IBAN line is an extra starting amount, not a discount off the C$45. Fees are in the currency of the account.
A trace is free if the outgoing payment was not delivered as instructed. If it was delivered, a trace starts at C$25.00 CAD or $25.00 USD, plus GST. Cancelling or amending an outgoing wire starts at the same C$25.00, plus GST. An incoming wire from an RBC unit in Canada is free. An incoming wire from another institution is free when the amount is under C$50 CAD or $50 USD, and starts at C$17.00 CAD or $17.00 USD when it is higher.
How the fee shows
The wire fee can post as its own line, in the currency of the account you sent from. A debit advice by phone or fax is C$5.00 CAD or $5.00 USD, and by mail is C$3.00 CAD or $3.00 USD. Those advice fees are separate from the wire fee. The page does not print a cheaper RBC product that replaces an outgoing wire. Interac e-Transfer is a different service.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank, and it does not move the money.
