TD stop payment is C$12.50 online
By Karla CastroUpdated November 1, 2026
TD Canada Trust's bank account fees page prints C$12.50 to place a stop through EasyWeb or the TD app, and C$25 in a TD branch or on EasyLine telephone banking. The page describes this as the fee for a cheque or a pre-authorized debit.
Two ways to place it
Opened 1 November 2026. The same two prices are printed for the TD All-Inclusive Banking Plan, TD Unlimited Chequing Account, TD Every Day Chequing Account, TD Minimum Chequing Account, and TD Student Chequing Account. A stop in a branch or on EasyLine is C$25. A stop in EasyWeb or the TD app is C$12.50. The page calls it the fee for placing a stop payment on a cheque or a pre-authorized debit.
The fee can show as its own line, separate from the cheque or debit you asked TD not to pay. The page does not print the statement wording. It also does not print a way to avoid the fee. The cell for how to avoid it is blank.
The lower price TD prints
Place the stop in EasyWeb or the TD app when you can. That printed price is C$12.50, against C$25 with a person in a branch or on EasyLine. Interac e-Transfer is a different service, with its own fees on the same page. It is not this stop payment line.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank, and it does not stop the payment.
