BMO stop payment is C$12.50

BMO's agreements and fees for everyday banking, effective June 2, 2026, print C$12.50 for a single stop on a cheque or a pre-authorized debit, and C$20.00 for a series in sequence. The Premium Plan column includes stop payments. The other everyday plans print C$12.50 and C$20.00.
One item or a series
Opened 1 November 2026. The services list prints stop payment on cheques and pre-authorized debits at C$12.50 for a single item and C$20.00 for a series in sequence, per request. On the bank plan table, Premium Plan shows stop payments as included. Performance Plan, Blue Rewards Plan, Plus Plan, and Practical Plan print C$12.50 for one and C$20.00 for a series. Footnote 6 says you cannot put a stop payment on a pre-authorized debit for BMO credit products such as loans, mortgages, credit cards, and lines of credit.
The C$12.50 and the C$20.00 can show as their own lines. The agreement does not print the statement wording. A series price is for items in sequence on one request, not a second copy of the single fee unless BMO treats it that way.
The plan that includes it
If the account is on the Premium Plan, the plan table shows the stop as included. The other four plans on that table print C$12.50 and C$20.00. Interac e-Transfer is a different service in the same agreement. It is not this stop payment line.
