What a STEAMGAMES.COM charge means on your statement
People look up STEAMGAMES.COM because that is the text on the statement. The Steam help pages that opened for this check do not print STEAMGAMES.COM. Steam's purchase history and its unrecognized charges form are the places Steam tells you to look.

Why the line looks like that
Steam's purchasing and billing FAQ, and the page Steam's old help link redirects to, Unrecognized Charges, loaded as titles only. Neither page's text included the letters STEAMGAMES.COM. This guide does not treat that missing text as a printed descriptor. It also does not use forum posts.
How Steam says to check a charge
Steam's unrecognized charges form is titled around the issue I have charges from Steam that I didn't make. It asks for the last 4 digits of a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card, the exact date, the exact amount, and a PayPal Invoice ID if you paid that way. Purchase history is at store.steampowered.com/account/history, and the help link for that history asks you to sign in.
Recent purchases in Steam's help wizard also lists I have charges from Steam that I didn't make.
What this page does not say
These pages do not print a city, a company name next to STEAMGAMES.COM, or a promise that every Steam line is a game purchase. Match the date and the amount in purchase history before you decide. Upload the statement to Expenvo and it lists every subscription it finds. A one time game purchase is not a subscription just because the name repeats on one statement. Expenvo does not cancel a Steam purchase for you. Steps for stopping the next charge are on how to cancel a subscription you found on a statement.
