Expenvo vs PocketGuard

PocketGuard asks you to connect bank accounts. Expenvo reads a statement PDF on your device and does not ask you to sign in to the bank. The prices below are the ones PocketGuard prints on its pricing page. That page was opened on 16 October 2026.

Last checked: Oct 2026

Price

Expenvo Free is $0 USD. It includes one bank statement upload in a calendar month. Pro is $5.99 USD/month or $47 USD a year. Prices are before tax. Pricing is the page with the plan list.

PocketGuard's pricing page labels the cards PocketGuard Premium. Yearly is $6.25 a month, billed $74.99 yearly, with a 7 day free trial. Monthly is $12.99 a month, which the page also shows as $155.88 per year billed monthly. Lifetime is $149.99 once, and the page says you own it forever. The page says all prices are in US dollars.

A later FAQ on that same page asks how to purchase PocketGuard Plus and how to manage PocketGuard Plus. This page keeps both names, Premium and Plus, because the page prints both. The page also lists subscription tracking, cancel unwanted subscriptions, and lower your bills. It labels connectivity as US & CA, and it says unlimited bank accounts. Platforms listed are web, iPhone, Apple Watch, and Android. The page says no ads, and it says we don't sell data.

How transactions get in

PocketGuard's help page I cannot connect or update my account says you use the credentials you use for the bank's website, and that Plaid is a second provider.

Another help page, I can't find my financial institution, last updated 1 September 2026, says Connect with Plaid, and that institutions are from the US, the UK, and Canada only. Those pages ask you to sign in to the bank. They do not say whether PocketGuard stores the password, so this page does not say either.

Expenvo does not ask for a bank login. You download a statement PDF from the bank, then open it in the browser. The PDF stays on your device. How to read a statement PDF is the page for that file.

PocketGuard's pricing page describes canceling unwanted subscriptions. Expenvo lists subscriptions. It does not cancel them, and it does not count them as savings.

What this page does not say

A slogan on a pricing page is not a measured result. This page does not repeat marketing lines as facts about what you will save.

Figures on either page can change. This comparison was checked on 16 October 2026. It is not financial advice.
