What an Airbnb charge means on your statement
An Airbnb line is a payment for a home, a service, or an experience. Airbnb's help pages do not print the exact letters a bank uses. The statement name usually includes Airbnb. Confirm it under Payments in your Airbnb account, and in the receipt email.

Where to match the charge
On a computer: Menu, Account settings, Payments, Manage payments, then open the receipt under Completed. Airbnb says that list shows reservation payments since 2018. Upcoming payments for a trip are under Trips, the reservation, Payment info, Get receipts and manage payments.
A monthly stay or a payment plan can charge the card more than once. Airbnb says you can change the card for a future scheduled payment from that same payment screen. A payment you send the host through the Resolution Center gets its own receipt.
Airbnb says the receipt created when you pay is final. A new receipt is issued when you pay more, or when you get a refund. Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device.
Canceling and refunds
Cancellation rules depend on the listing. For many services and experiences, Airbnb says you can cancel until 24 hours before the start for a full refund. Some use 72 hours. If your policy is not on that page, Airbnb says to read the reservation. On a computer: Trips, the reservation, Cancel reservation. You can review any refund before you confirm.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, even if you split the booking across cards. You may see the charge and a separate refund. If you cancel within 24 hours of booking and the reservation is not confirmed yet, Airbnb says it may only have placed a hold, and it removes the hold. If the host already accepted, the host's cancellation policy applies.
During cancellation you may be offered Airbnb credits instead of a refund to the card. Once the refund is issued, Airbnb says you cannot reverse that choice. Upload the statement to Expenvo and it lists every subscription it finds. A one time stay is not a subscription. Expenvo does not cancel the reservation for you. - Airbnb says it goes to the original payment method. If that account is closed, Airbnb says to ask the bank. Airbnb can give you a reference number.
- Is every Airbnb charge a subscription?
- No. A stay or an experience is a booking. Cancel it on the reservation. A repeating charge is a different question, and you still confirm it in the Airbnb account.
