Outgoing wire transfer fees at US banks
An outgoing wire fee is what your bank charges to send a wire. Domestic means the other bank is in the United States. International means it is not. The dollar is on that bank's fee list, and it can change. A receiving bank can take a separate fee.

Banks not in this table
PNC's savings fee PDF did not yield readable text, so PNC is not in the table. Huntington, Discover, and American Express wire pages were not opened. A missing row is not a statement that the wire is free.
Citi's agreement says an incoming wire can show as Service Charges Incoming Wire Fee, and an online domestic outgoing wire can show as Fee for Domestic Funds Transfer. Chase says the exchange rate on a foreign currency wire includes a spread. Bank of America says the same about foreign currency markups. Those are separate from the wire fee.
Questions
- Is the domestic fee the same as the international fee?
- Not on these pages. Chase, Bank of America, Citi, U.S. Bank, Truist, and Capital One print a higher international number than the online domestic number. Ally does not send international wires.
- Does $0 mean every wire at that bank is free?
- No. Chase prints $0 only for an online foreign currency wire of $5,000 USD or more. Wells Fargo prints $0 for a consumer digital wire sent in foreign currency. Bank of America says there is no wire transfer fee on an international wire sent in foreign currency, and that exchange rate markups still apply.
- Can the other bank charge me too?
- Yes. U.S. Bank says other institutions may deduct fees from the transfer. Bank of America says the recipient's bank, foreign taxes, and other fees can apply. The dollar in this table is only the sending bank's fee.
- Will this table stay current?
- No. These figures were opened on 16 October 2026. The account agreement and the fee schedule control if a number changes.
