What a Chegg charge means on your statement
A Chegg line is Chegg's study subscription or another Chegg purchase on the card you saved. Chegg's help center, opened 17 October 2026, tells you how to cancel or pause on a computer. It does not print a monthly price, and it does not print a required statement code. Match the date and the amount to the order in your account.

What the charge is
Chegg's customer service page is the source for this guide. The page that loaded does not show a dollar amount for Chegg Study, so this page does not guess one. It also does not show a sample statement line. If your statement says Chegg, that is the company name. If it says a short code you do not recognize, compare the amount and the date with the orders in the Chegg account before you call it fraud. Statement codes lists prefixes other companies do print. Unknown charge on a statement is the next page if the account has no matching order.
The help page's cancel steps are for a subscription you manage on Chegg's site, on a desktop or laptop. It does not, on the page that loaded, print a separate path for an App Store or Google Play purchase. If your receipt or statement is apple.com/bill or GOOGLE*, the store billed you, and the store is where that subscription is canceled. A card charge that names Chegg itself follows the Chegg steps below.
How to cancel or pause
Use a desktop or laptop. Go to My Account, click Orders, find the subscription on the right, and click Cancel Subscription. On the next page, select the orange Cancel Subscription button at the bottom to confirm. Chegg says that once you confirm, the subscription is canceled, you will not be charged again, and you keep access for the rest of the current billing period.
Pause uses the same start. From a computer, go to My Account, then Orders, and choose Cancel subscription on the one you want to pause. Chegg says you will be offered Pause instead. Choose a length up to six months, then click Pause subscription. A pause is not a cancellation. Read the screen so you know which one you confirmed.
Payment cards are under My Account, then Payment Methods. Add a card with the arrow next to Add a new card, then Save changes. To change a card, click it, click Edit, and save. Changing the card does not cancel the subscription. Cancel is the Orders path.
If the account is suspended, Chegg says to sign in and look at Overview for a banner that reads Subscription access suspended. A link that says Regain access means you can follow the prompts. No link means the account is under review and is not eligible for release yet. That banner is about access, not about a second charge.
The general habit, cancel where you were billed and keep the receipt, is on how to cancel a subscription.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines so you can match a short name to a date and an amount. It does not call the bank, and it does not cancel a subscription.
