What a Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge charge means
A Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge line is a dating subscription or an in app purchase. The statement may name the app, or it may name Apple, Google, or Stripe because that is who billed the card. Cancel on the same path you used to pay. Deleting the app is not the cancel button.

Read the line before you cancel
These three companies do not print one required card descriptor on the help pages opened 17 October 2026, and they do not print a current price on those cancel articles. This guide does not invent a price or a code such as TINDER*. If the statement says the app name, start there. If it says apple.com/bill, the charge is on APPLE.COM/BILL. If it says GOOGLE*, start with GOOGLE*. Hinge's help page says some subscriptions are Hinge payment powered by Stripe. That kind of line is explained on what STRIPE* means.
Match the date and the amount to the receipt email. A renewal can be monthly or longer. Two charges can be two renewals, or a plan plus a boost. They are not automatically a mistake. Charged twice is the page for two posted lines you did not buy.
Tinder
Tinder's cancel article, updated 16 July 2025, splits the steps by the order number. An order that starts with MK was bought in the iOS app and is billed by Apple. Cancel in iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions, then Cancel Subscription. An order that starts with GPA was bought in the Android app and is billed by Google Play. Cancel in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. If you paid the Android app with a card or PayPal, Tinder says to open the app, the profile icon, Manage Payment Account, and Cancel Subscription.
An order that starts with TNDR was bought on tinder.com or in the Android app with a credit card. Log in at tinder.com, open the profile icon, Manage Payment Account, and Cancel Subscription. Tinder says uninstalling or deleting the app will not cancel the subscription. A subscription stays on one Tinder account. If you changed from iPhone to Android, cancel on the old device, because subscriptions do not transfer. Plans renew until they are canceled.
Bumble
Bumble's cancel article, updated 20 August 2026, covers Bumble Boost, Premium, and Premium+. How you cancel depends on how you signed up. After you cancel, you keep paid perks until the end of the subscription date. Apple: phone Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Bumble, Cancel Subscription. Google Play: profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Bumble, Cancel Subscription. PayPal, a credit or debit card, or Apple Pay: open the Bumble app, the profile icon, Subscription details, Manage your subscription, then cancel.
Bumble says canceling stops the next renewal. If Apple or Google Play approve a refund, you may lose access immediately. If you cannot open the app, Bumble says to contact its support team. The terms also say a subscription bought in a third party store is canceled in that store, and that you may use the subscription until the end of the period you last paid for, without a prorated refund except where the refund section applies.
Hinge
Hinge's article, updated 6 July 2026, covers Hinge+ and HingeX. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the next billing period. Hinge says that 24 hour rule is required by Apple, Google, and Hinge payment powered by Stripe.
If you used the App Store or your Apple ID, open the subscription page, tap Hinge, and tap Cancel Subscription. If you used Hinge payment powered by Stripe, open the app, the gear icon, Account Settings, then Cancel Subscription. If you no longer have the app, Hinge says you can cancel through Stripe using the email address that receives Hinge subscription emails, even if that email is not the one on the Hinge account. On Android, Hinge points you at the Play Store subscription page.
Deleting the app does not cancel an App Store, Apple ID, Google Play, or Stripe subscription. Deleting the Hinge account does immediately cancel a Stripe billed Hinge payment subscription, and you lose the rest of that period. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play plan. You still cancel those in the store.
The shared steps, including what to do when the line is the app store, are on how to cancel a subscription.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines so you can match a short name to a date and an amount. It does not call the bank, and it does not cancel a subscription.
Questions
- Does deleting Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge stop the charge?
- No for an App Store or Google Play plan. Tinder and Hinge say deleting the app does not cancel. Hinge says deleting the account does cancel a Stripe billed Hinge payment subscription, and does not cancel a store subscription.
- How do I tell who billed the card?
- Tinder uses the order number: MK is Apple, GPA is Google Play, and TNDR is Tinder.com or an Android card purchase. If the statement names Apple, Google, or Stripe, cancel in that place.
- How early do I cancel Hinge?
- Hinge says subscriptions renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing period. That rule applies to Apple, Google, and Hinge payment powered by Stripe.
