How to download a PayPal statement
PayPal's US help page says where to request a monthly statement and where to download an activity report. PayPal Credit, the card, uses a different set of clicks. You save the file yourself. Expenvo does not sign in to PayPal. The PDF stays on your device.

A monthly statement
PayPal's US help article, opened 18 October 2026, says to download monthly statements on the web by going to paypal.com/reports/accountStatements, clicking Request next to the month, and clicking Download when the report is ready. That article is the US help center. A Canadian PayPal account may show the same reports area. If the labels differ, use the statements control in the account you are signed into. This guide does not invent a second menu.
The same article says you can download a report of transaction activity for up to the past seven years, as a PDF, a Quicken file, a QuickBooks file, a CSV file, or a TAB file. One request can cover up to 12 months. The clicks it prints are History, then the Download icon, then Custom, then the report you want. A large history log can take up to 5 business days, and PayPal says it emails you when the file is ready. It keeps the last 3 completed large history logs. Small logs download immediately and are not saved.
PayPal's developer documentation describes monthly statements as bank style reports of the PayPal balance, available any time after the 2nd of the month, with up to 2 years of monthly statements in the reporting portal in the text opened for this guide. That documentation is written for a business report. If your screen is the personal help article above, follow that article. Do not mix a business portal rule into a personal account if the screen does not show it.
PayPal Credit is a different file
The same US help article has a separate path for a PayPal Credit card statement. Click the PayPal Credit card tile on the home page, click Statements, select the month, and click Get billing statement. That downloads the PDF. A PayPal balance statement and a PayPal Credit card statement are not the same document.
A charge on your bank or card that starts with PayPal is explained on what a PayPal charge means. The statement you download from PayPal is PayPal's own record. The line on your bank statement is the bank's record. Match the date and the amount. They can post on different days.
PayPal's help article says its information is not tax advice. How long to keep the PDF is on how long to keep statements. PayPal does not set the IRS or CRA period.
After you have the file
A PayPal balance can be in US dollars. If the account holds another currency, keep that currency as printed. Do not convert it for the upload. Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank or the company, and it does not cancel a membership.
How to read a statement PDF covers one file per period. If the month is missing, request it from the reports page rather than guessing a fee for a paper copy. The help article opened here does not print a fee for the download.
