What a Webflow charge means on your statement
A Webflow line is a website plan, a workspace plan, an add on, or a renewal of one of those. Wix, GoDaddy, and Namecheap are already on [what a domain renewal charge means](/guides/charge-domain-renewals). Squarespace is on [what a Squarespace charge means](/guides/charge-squarespace). This page is Webflow only. The help pages opened 19 October 2026 do not print one required card code. Match the invoice in the workspace to the amount on the statement.

Why there can be two charges
Webflow's billing article says the card you add is stored on the workspace and pays for paid workspace plans and paid site plans in that workspace. A site plan and a workspace plan are billed separately. Canceling one does not cancel the other. If you are leaving, cancel both. An open invoice means it is waiting for payment. A paid invoice means it went through. If a payment was attempted and failed, the invoice can still say open.
Paid plans renew at the end of the month or the end of the year, whichever cycle you bought. The refund policy says annual plans send a reminder at least 7 days before renewal. Renewals are not refundable. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the next billing date. Upgrading, downgrading, or switching between monthly and yearly applies prorated charges or credits for the days left in the cycle. Downgrading to the free Starter plan does not refund unused time and does not leave a credit for that unused time.
How to cancel
A site plan is canceled in Site settings, then Plans, by downgrading to the free Starter site plan. Choose Downgrade to Starter, then Continue to downgrade. Paid features stay until the end of the period unless you choose Downgrade now. At the end, Webflow removes custom domains and unpublishes the site from those domains and from the webflow.io subdomain. The project stays in the workspace. Immediate downgrade takes the site offline right away and does not credit unused time. Remove add ons before you downgrade. If you change your mind about a scheduled downgrade, Webflow says to contact support.
A workspace plan is canceled in Workspace settings, then Plans, by downgrading to the free Starter workspace. Remove team members and seats first. Only one Starter workspace is allowed per user. If you already have one, Webflow says to archive it before another paid workspace can move to Starter. Published sites that still have their own site plans stay up. You cannot delete the Webflow account until site plans and paid workspace plans are canceled. Deleting the account deletes the workspace, the sites, and the billing history.
Refunds
The refund policy, updated September 2026, says a new site plan or workspace plan is fully refundable if you cancel and request the refund within 14 days of the initial purchase. That window covers monthly and yearly plans. Renewals are not refunded. Add ons and seats are not refunded. When you cancel an add on, the leftover amount becomes account credit, and that credit cannot be refunded. Marketplace templates, libraries, and apps are final. Bandwidth or usage auto upgrades are not refunded. AI credits are not refunded. Webflow says to contact support before you file a dispute with the card company. A chargeback filed first can suspend the account while it is reviewed.
If you bought through a business and you also have a local 14 day cancellation right, the policy says nothing in it limits rights under local consumer law. Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank or the company, and it does not cancel a plan. How to cancel a subscription is the general checklist. The buttons that stop Webflow are in the site plan settings and the workspace plan settings.
