How to download a BMO statement in the US
BMO in the United States is the bank that used to be called BMO Harris. The bank's own page says the shorter name is BMO and the US site is bmo.com, including bmo.com/en-us if a VPN or a foreign address sends you to the wrong country site. Credit card eStatements
BMO's US page for managing a credit card in Digital Banking says you can access 24 months of eStatements and turn off paper. It prints two paths. From Account Summary, select the credit card, select View Statements, then select the statement. From the Accounts drop down, select Statements, select the credit card, then select the statement. The same page says you can choose going paperless from the Statements page.
That page also says you can export transactions from Account Summary, then Export, as QuickBooks, Quicken, or CSV. An export is a transaction file. It is not the monthly statement PDF. If you need the statement, use View Statements. Authorized users cannot enroll or activate their card in BMO Digital Banking. The primary cardholder is the person who can open the statements.
Checking and savings
The US personal online banking page says you can access bank statements online in one place and update preferences to switch to paperless, for all accounts or for specific accounts. It does not print the same View Statements clicks for a deposit account. This guide does not invent those clicks. Sign in at the US site, open the deposit account, and use the statements or documents control the screen shows. If that control is missing, use the message center or the number on your statement.
The brand page says that on or after 25 February 2023 you type the user id and password yourself the first time, because a saved login may not fill in after the web address changed. Forgot User ID and Forgot Password are on the sign in screen. A cross border customer with both a Canadian login and a US login still has two online banking sites. Do not look for a US checking PDF inside the Canadian BMO session. The credit card page also says you can bank from the BMO Digital Banking app. It does not print a separate tap path for statements in the app, so use the same View Statements labels if they appear, and use the website if the app only shows transactions. Paper statements stop when you turn them off. Download the months you need before you rely on the screen alone.
After the file downloads
