How to ask about a Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite annual fee

The card Scotiabank publishes under this name is the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +, with a plus in the product name. The page prints $150 a year. An Ultimate Package chequing account can rebate that yearly fee. A Preferred Package rebates $40. Both say conditions apply. Asking Scotiabank to remove a fee already charged is a request.

The $150 on the card page

Opened 19 October 2026. The Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite + card page prints an annual fee of $150 a year. It says that fee is waived with an eligible bank account. If you have an Ultimate Package chequing account, the page says you can receive a rebate of the yearly annual fee. If you have a Preferred Package chequing account, the page says you can receive a $40 rebate on the yearly annual fee. Both lines say conditions apply. This guide does not copy footnote text that the page did not print in the main fee block. Read footnotes 2 and 3 on that page before you treat a package as a full waiver.

The same glance block prints a minimum credit limit of $5,000. Purchase interest is 20.99%. The cash advance rate is 22.99%, and the page says that rate also applies to balance transfers and cash like transactions. Supplementary cards are $0 a year for the first card and $50 a year for each additional card. The monthly cost of the chequing package is a different question, on how to waive a Scotiabank monthly fee. Momentum Visa Infinite + is a different card, on how to ask about a Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite fee.

The income line is a range

The page does not print one income number. It says you can apply if you have a minimum income of $60,000 to $80,000 or more a year, a minimum household income of $100,000 to $150,000 or more, or a minimum of $250,000 to $300,000 or more in assets under management. Scotiabank says it uses the application to help identify the card that fits. Do not collapse that range into a single dollar and then assume you were approved or declined because of one figure.

A Scene+ welcome offer and a fuel offer on the same page are not the annual fee. How to ask about a Scotiabank Gold American Express fee is a different card. Canadian credit card fees keeps annual fees, cash advances, and interest apart.

What to ask

Use the phone number on the statement if it is printed there. Have the date, the fee name, and the amount. Ask whether the charge is the $150 primary fee, the $50 additional card fee, or something else. Ask whether an Ultimate Package rebate or a Preferred Package $40 rebate was supposed to credit it, and which footnote blocked it if it did not. Then ask Scotiabank to review the fee or remove it. They can say no. This page has no success rate. If the answer is no, ask whether a product change is available, and the last day you can close so the next annual fee is not charged. This page does not tell you to close the card. How to ask about a card annual fee is the general page. The PDF steps are on how to download a Scotiabank statement.

Questions

Is Passport Visa Infinite the same as Passport Visa Infinite +?
The public card page opened on 19 October 2026 uses the name Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +, with a plus, and prints $150. If your statement does not include the plus, ask Scotiabank which fee schedule is on that account before you use $150.
Does Preferred Package remove the whole $150?
No. The page says Preferred Package can rebate $40 of the yearly annual fee, and that conditions apply. Ultimate Package is the line that says a rebate of the yearly annual fee. Read the footnotes on the card page.
What income does the page require?
It prints a range, not one number: minimum income of $60,000 to $80,000 or more, household income of $100,000 to $150,000 or more, or assets under management of $250,000 to $300,000 or more.
Will Scotiabank remove an annual fee it already charged if I ask?
They might, and they might not. Asking is a request. A package rebate on the card page is not a promise to erase a fee already on the statement.
