The names Amazon prints
Opened 20 October 2026. Amazon's US page for identifying a charge puts Amazon Digital Svcs, amzn.com/bill, and Video on Demand in one row. That row is charges related to an Amazon digital service. The page lists MP3s, Kindle books, app downloads, video downloads, software or game downloads, and Kindle Special Offers opt out fees.
A digital service such as a Prime Video channel or Kindle Unlimited is charged monthly. Amazon says to open Your Digital Orders for those charges. Prime membership is a different row. That row prints AMZ*Prime Shipping Club, amzn.com/bill, and AMAZON PRIME followed by a code. A physical or marketplace order is another row, including AMZN Mktp US. Those marketplace lines are on what AMZN Mktp means. Prime is on what an Amazon Prime charge means.
amzn.com/bill appears in more than one row, including Prime and digital services. Do not decide from those letters alone. Use the other words on the line, then Your Digital Orders or Your Transactions.
How Canada differs
Amazon.ca's page about a charge you do not recognize does not print Amazon Digital Svcs, amzn.com/bill, or Video on Demand. It says an unknown charge can be a trial that ended, a Prime renewal, or a Prime Video channel. Review or cancel those at Your Memberships and Subscriptions. Match the amount and the date there if the card was used on Amazon.ca.
The US table does not print a Canada only digital descriptor. Do not copy AMZN Mktp US onto a Kindle charge, and do not copy Amazon Digital Svcs onto a shipped order.
If you do not recognize it
Amazon says an unknown charge is often a family member, another card on the account, a split shipment, a gift, a back order, or an authorization that is not a charge. Check those before you dispute. A digital order is matched in Your Digital Orders, not only in the list of shipped packages.
If the date and the amount do not match a receipt, an email, or a purchase someone on the card made, it may be a charge you did not allow. In the United States, use dispute a charge in the US. In Canada, use dispute a charge in Canada. A name you still cannot place is on unknown charge on a statement. The code list is on statement codes.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines so you can match a short name to a date and an amount. It does not call the bank, and it does not dispute a charge.
Questions
- Is Amazon Digital Svcs the same as AMZN Mktp?
- No. On Amazon's US table, Amazon Digital Svcs is a digital service such as a Kindle book, an app, or a video. AMZN Mktp US is in the row for an Amazon.com purchase.
- Is it Amazon Prime?
- Not by itself. Prime has its own names, including AMAZON PRIME and AMZ*Prime Shipping Club. A Prime Video channel or Kindle Unlimited is a monthly digital service, and Amazon points those to Your Digital Orders.
- Does Amazon.ca print Amazon Digital Svcs?
- No. Amazon.ca's unknown charge page does not print that name. It tells you to check a trial, a Prime renewal, or a Prime Video channel at Your Memberships and Subscriptions.
- What if the digital order is not mine?
- Check family access and Your Digital Orders first. If nobody allowed it, dispute the charge with the card issuer. The US and Canada dispute pages are the steps.
